How to Delete Keyloggers
Keyloggers are a simple, but dangerous tool used by hackers to record every keystroke that you make on your computer. This information can then be sent remotely to a server where the hacker can later download it. What this means is that, if successful, she can get every password and user name that you enter into your computer, thus exposing you to potential fraud or identity theft. If you suspect that you have a keylogger, it is important that you delete it immediately.

Download anti-keylogger software. These programs are far superior to both antivirus and anti-spyware software because they are designed to work against the specific algorithm with which keyloggers are designed. What this means is that you don't need to constantly update your software's database and you don't even need to scan your computer. A few applications that you might consider are Elite Anti-Keylogger, Anti-Keylogger and Advanced Anti-Keylogger (see References).

Get Elite Anti-Keylogger. As of 2010, this product is $39.95, but a 30-day free trial is available. It currently has over 1000 different keyloggers in its database, but like the other anti-keylogger software, it will also protect against programs that aren't in its database by filtering all potentially dangerous applications.

Use Advanced Anti-Keylogger. As of 2010, this program costs $59.95 and comes with a 30-day free trial. This program will detect and disable not just the commercially available keyloggers, but will also protect against custom-made keyloggers. In addition to protecting against keystroke capture, it also protects against clipboard capturing. Like the other applications, it doesn't need to scan your system to work.
