Clean the sole of the shoe freeing all grass, mud, sand and dirt. This will make the new spikes easier to install.

Insert the spike tool into the respective holes of the old spike. Turn the spike tool counter-clockwise until the old spike becomes free.

Insert the new spike by placing it over the space where old spike and twisting it clockwise into place using the spike tool.

A divot tool will work in place of a spike tool of you do not have one handy.
For the weekend warrior you can do with changing your spikes around every six months. For the more avid golfer every month to two months is sufficient.
