Instructions

    • 1

Align two corners of a piece of card stock, in the size and color of your choice, and press the crease to fold it in half. You can choose to make the card open from bottom to top or from left to right.

    • 2

Take a piece of watercolor paper and use a paintbrush to apply a thin layer of clean water over it. While the water is still wet, dot different watercolors over it to cause a bleed-and-blend effect. You can blend in as many colors of paint as you'd like. Allow the watercolor to dry.

    • 3

Cut a Christmas-themed shape from your watercolor. Snowflakes look great from blue and purple blended paper, or you can simply cut out a circle to use it as an ornament. Use a glue stick to secure the shape to the front of your card.

    • 4

Draw in all extra details using multi-colored markers. If you pasted a circle on your card, draw a small hook coming from the top. Carefully write a French Christmas greeting, such as "Joyeux Noel," across the bottom or top of the card.

    • 5

Embellish the card with swirls or lines of all-purpose glue. You can apply the glue over the watercolor design or create a border with it. While the glue is still wet, sprinkle some glitter over it, and tap the excess into a trashcan. Allow the glue to dry.
