The iPod Nano is one of the more lightweight entries into Apple's iPod line of consumer electronics. The Nano is physically smaller than the iPod Classic and has a smaller storage capacity, but it still contains all of the features you've come to know and love--including the ability to play videos. If you'd like to download a video onto your iPod Nano, you'll need to employ the help of Apple's iTunes software.

Step 1

Open iTunes.

Step 2

Click on the "File" drop-down menu from the top-left corner of the iTunes window. Then, click "Add Files." Add any movie files you'd like to download to your iPod Nano to your iTunes media library. Once you've added the files, click on the "Movies" icon on the left column of the iTunes window to confirm that they were successfully added.

Step 3

Connect your iPod Nano to your computer. Once the name of your iPod Nano appears under "Device" in iTunes, click on it to bring up your unit's "Settings" page. Click on the "Movies" tab and make sure "Sync Movies" is checked.

Step 4

Click on the "Sync" button. The movies that you added to your iTunes media library will then be downloaded to your iPod Nano.
