How to Record Music From a CD to Another Blank CD thumbnail
Copying a CD is easy with a computer.

Computer audio changed the art of making CD compilations, making it much easier and yielding higher quality in the process. The availability of cheap blank CDs also means musicians working on demos can easily copy their recordings. Most computers come preloaded with a CD burner program such as Windows Media Player or iTunes.

Instructions

    • 1

Load the CD you want to copy into your computer's CD drive.

    • 2

Open your CD burning program and select the songs you want to copy to another CD. With some programs, such as iTunes or Windows Media Player, you will need to copy the songs to the library first and create a burn playlist in the program and drag the songs onto the playlist from the library. With others, you can just select the songs and press "Copy."

    • 3

Remove the CD after transferring the songs to your computer and insert a blank CD.

    • 4

Drag the playlist with the mouse onto the CD drive icon in your program and press the "Burn Disk" button to complete the copy process.
