How to Shoot a Rubber Band Like a Gun
Shooting rubber bands off your fingers is an easy thing to learn and can be done anywhere. Shooting it like a gun is a little more difficult, but still worth learning. By starting with your left hand and switching the band to your right hand, you add tension to one side of the rubber band. This allows the band to spin when in the air; consequently, your aim will be more accurate and the rubber band will travel farther.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure to put the rubber band right near the top of the thumb; otherwise, you will have a tough time getting it to release.
Consider setting up several rubber bands at one time, for rapid firing.
Stretch your rubber bands before firing. This will allow you to get better range.
Watch out for backfiring, a common problem if you are a beginner. You don't want the rubber band shooting back and hitting you instead of your target.
