Things You'll Need
- N-95 respiratory
- Safety goggles without vent holes
- Rubber gloves
- Long-sleeve shirt
- Pants
- Spray bottle
- 2 sponges
- Fans
- Dehumidifier

Equip yourself with an N-95 respiratory, safety goggles without vent holes, rubber gloves, long sleeve shirt and pants.

Fill a spray bottle with water. Spray any surface mold that may be present on the plaster walls. Wetting the surface mold will help reduce the risk of mold spores being released in the air during the cleaning process.

Wipe the surface mold away with a damp sponge.

Combine ½ cup of bleach with 1 gallon of water.

Saturate a clean sponge in the mixture. Wash the molded area of the plaster with the sponge.

Allow the bleach solution to air dry on the plaster wall.

Point fans in the direction of the plaster walls to aid in the drying process.

Run a dehumidifier to help remove moisture from the air.
