Share wireless printers online.

A wireless printer is something that every office or school can take advantage of. As long as the school or office is on a shared Internet network, the printer can be used from each computer at the same time. This means that computers can all share a printer over their own wireless network. There are dozens of computers and network settings to use when hooking up a computer, depending on your equipment. However, there are some general directions for sharing a computer through an Internet Network. When you share a computer over the Internet, you are really sharing one over your own Internet network.

Instructions

    • 1

Hook up the computers to an Internet Network. These are usually found in offices, schools, government agencies, and other places where computers need to share information. Your Internet service provider and Web personnel can make sure you have a good network.

    • 2

Plug in the printer and connect it to the network. Since you are using a wireless network, it should find the network on its own. If not, you will need to install the printer to the main network computer, using the installation kit and disc that came with the specific printer.

    • 3

Go into each computer that has access to the network and find their "Printer Settings." Depending on the computers and network, you will go to "Options," "Control Panel," or perhaps "Internet Settings" or "Printers."

    • 4

Choose the wireless printer from the list, or install the printer on the computer if the particular printer or network needs installation.

    • 5

Click "Ok" or "Install" to complete the installation process and to make sure that the specific wireless printer is shared by that computer. Do this for all of the computers on the network. Each computer will be able to access the printer wirelessly through the Internet Network.
