Becoming a Site Model
-
1
Decide what type(s) of look to use for the initial photo(s). Most people who use MySpace site models are looking for a particular "look" to use for the profile they are building. This step may include the use of costumes or props to add to the sensation of authenticity.
-
2
Do a photo shoot. This step is crucial because the quality of the camera and the photos needs to be high, but the photos should not be done to "studio" standards. The reason for this, is that most marketers who use this type of marketing strategy need the pictures to be believable for their target audience.
Profiles which feature highly professional photos do not usually convert "friends" into buyers as well as believable site model pictures tend to.

3
Perform a search for any current job offers. MySpace has many groups dedicated to people who are willing to pose for site model pictures and those same groups often have people looking for models.
Other search options include Craig's List and Facebook. Craig's List is one of the most widely used sources for soliciting and finding MySpace site models. Use new sites like Fiverr to offer site model services to people on a budget.
-
4
Choose the best photos from the photo shoot and post them to all of the locations found during the web search phase.
-
5
Choose the best offer from among the replies. At this point, the person or company offering the position may require additional photos or specialized photos before agreeing to a formalized contract.

Tips & Warnings
Try looking through the offers on Craig's List before the photo shoot if you are willing to chang or adapt your look. This can greatly increase your chances of appealing to a large number of potential employers once the photos have been submitted.
A large majority of companies/individuals involved in using MySpace models will require an exclusivity agreement. Be sure to review the terms and conditions of the agreement carefully. In addition, many of these marketers are using the profiles to attract people to dating or even pornography sites. If these are unacceptable uses of your image, MySpace site modeling may not be appropriate for you.
