Use a mini-USB-to-USB cable to connect your Cricket phone and computer.

Cricket is a popular wireless telephone service provider featuring commitment-free and discounted calling plans. While Cricket's service may cost less than that of many other service providers, the carrier's handsets do not spare important capabilities. Cricket does not have its own music management software or interface, but some Cricket phones boast MP3 playback ability. Use a mini-USB-to-USB cable or mircoSD card reader to download your favorite music onto the MP3 playback-enabled Cricket cell phone's microSD card.

Instructions

    • 1

Allow your Cricket phone to recognize the microSD card before loading music onto it. The card is your Cricket phone's storage drive. Insert the microSD card into your phone's microSD card slot and wait for the memory card icon to appear in your display.

Connect the Cricket phone to your personal computer. Insert the mini-USB end of the mini-USB-to-USB cable into the phone's mini-USB port. Insert the USB end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer. Wait for your computer to recognize the Cricket phone as a connected device. You can also remove the microSD card from your phone and insert it into your computer's SD card reader if you do not have a mini-USB-to-USB cable.

    • 3

Double-click the Cricket phone's device icon to open its file folder window. Open the "My_Music" folder.

    • 4

Open the file folder containing the MP3 music files you want to transfer. Open this file folder in a separate file manager window.

    • 5

Drag and drop the desired MP3 music files from their file folder into the Cricket phone's "My_Music" folder.

    • 6

Safely remove the Cricket phone from your computer. Right-click the Cricket phone's device icon and select "Eject" or "Safely Remove Device." Otherwise, remove the microSD card from the microSD card reader and reinsert it to your Cricket phone.
