NTSC, or national television system committee, is a video format used throughout the United States, Canada and some locations in Asia (such as Japan). Most video files, no matter the format (.mov, .wmv, .mpeg) are NTSC videos. If you have these video files on a Mac based computer it is possible to burn the contents onto a video DVD with the software provided on the computer.

  • Mac computer
  • Blank DVD.

Instructions

      Insert the blank DVD into the DVD burner of the Mac computer.

      Double-click the "iDVD" icon found on the dock at the bottom of the screen. In a moment the DVD burning software loads.

      Select "Create New DVD" and click "OK." This opens the DVD burning menu on the computer.

      Choose the DVD menu you want to appear on the DVD when inserted into a DVD player (this is found on the right-slide of the screen).

      Click the "Show DVD Map" button in the lower middle of the screen, then click-and-drag the NTSC video files into the main viewing area of the program.

      Select the "Play" button and the NTSC video files are placed onto the blank DVD.
