How to Make Ringtones for an SCH U540
The SCH U540 is a cell phone that is manufactured by Samsung and carried by the Verizon Wireless network. The cell phone service provider who carries a cell phone influences the way you can add ringtones to the cell phone. Verizon blocks its users from receiving ringtones in text messages, but you can get around this rule by making your own ringtones for the SCH U540.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure you name your ringtone with a new file name so that you don't overwrite your existing audio file.
Make sure that you address the message to Verizon's picture text messaging service (vzwpix.com) and not the regular text messaging service (vtext.com).
