How to Get MP3s From a Computer Onto an iPhone or iPod

Transfer music to your iPod or iPhone.

An iPod is a personal MP3 player on which you can store music, movies and photos. An iPhone has the same functionality as an iPod touch, with the addition of the capability to make and receive phone calls. Transferring your MP3 collection from you computer to your iPod or iPhone is fast and easy.

Things You'll Need

• USB cable
• iTunes

Instructions

1. Use the USB cable to connect your iPod or iPhone to your computer.

2. Open the iTunes application (if it doesn't open automatically).

3. Click on the iPod or iPhone icon that appears on the left side of iTunes.

4. Click the "Music" tab, which is located at the top of iTunes.

5. Check the "Sync Music" box.

6. Choose "Entire Music Library" to transfer all of your songs to your iPod or iPhone. Choose "Selected Playlists, Artists, and Genres" to manually select which songs you want to transfer.

7. Click "Apply."

8. Click "Sync." Your MP3s will now be copied to your iPod or iPhone.
