How to Make a Homemade Baby Shower Scrapbook
A soon-to-be mom is often showered with clothes and toys for her baby. Creating a baby shower scrapbook allows the mother-to-be to treasure memories of her beginnings as a parent, as well as the friends and family members who shared her joy. When it comes to making a scrapbook, the more details that you include, the better it will be.

1
Select an album. Most albums for scrapbooking are either 8.5 by 11 inches or 12 by 12 inches. Your album will come with scrapbook paper and some sort of protective sheets of plastic or rice paper between the pages.
-
2
Take a photograph for the cover of the scrapbook. The photo could be of the mother's bump or an old picture of the soon-to-be parents when they first met. Whatever image you choose, it should relate in some strong manner to the baby.

3
Glue the photo to the front of the scrapbook with rubber cement. Alternatively, some scrapbooks come with a space on the cover for a photograph. If that's what you have, all you need to do is slide the photo into the pocket.

4
Glue the back of the invitation to the shower on the front page of the scrapbook.
-
5
Take a photograph of the venue and glue it down next to the invitation or on a following page.
-
6
Gather all of the photos that you took at the shower. Contact friends for copies of their photos, as well.
-
7
Organize all the photos from the shower in chronological order. Ideally you should have at least one photo of every guest, as well as plenty of the mother-to-be. You should also have at least one photograph of the food, especially the cake.
-
8
Glue the photos down in chronological order. This way, the mother-to-be will feel like she's reliving the baby shower when she's flipping through the pages.
-
9
Add specific items from that day. For example: a cocktail napkin from the party, a favor, a strip of crepe paper, a deflated balloon, petals from flower arrangements and recipes for the food. Any of these items are appropriate and will make your scrapbook more special.
-
10
Turn to the front or back inside cover and write a personal message to the recipient. Sign and date it.

Tips & Warnings
If you don't have photographs of everyone at the party, draw pictures of them and what they were wearing or doing, even if you're not an artist. The result will most likely be humorous.
Try to get everyone who was at the party to sign the scrapbook. Some scrapbooks also include mothering tips from everyone who attended.
