Having a Palm with HotSync is a great way to keep up with all of your business and personal contacts while out of the office. With the Palm HotSync option, you can sync your email, contacts and business files all on one mobile device. If you've lost some pertinent information and don't have a backup, there is a way to recover your data without hiring a technical professional to look at your device.

Things You'll Need

• Palm PDA data cable

Instructions

1. Plug your Palm data cable into your Palm. Plug the other end into an available USB port on your computer.

2. Open your Outlook software.

3. Click the "View" menu at the top of the Outlook screen. Select "Folder List" from the menu.

4. Look for the "Pocket Mirror" folder and click on the "+" sign to the right of the folder to see subfolders displayed.

5. Press the "+" sign next to the "Archives" folder or the "Conflicts" folder.

6. Locate your missing files.

7. Run HotSync to put the files on your Palm.

Tips & Warnings

• Your files might also just be in the "Deleted Items" folder on your Outlook program.
