How to Create a Free Music Video for Friendster
The social media website Friendster, like many other social media sites, lets you add videos to your page from online services such as YouTube and Atom. But these are other people's work. You can express yourself with your own original music video and share it with your friends on Friendster and other social media networks. And you can do it all completely for free, from getting video editing software to obtaining royalty-free music and video clips.

Acquire free content for your video. With a little digging online, you can find plenty of music and video clips that are both free and available royalty-free for personal use. This means that not only will you not have to pay to acquire them, you also won't have to pay any royalties to any artists for using them within your video project. Of course, this limits the final product to personal use only, which is okay for publication on Friendster.

Download and install free video editing software. Apple and Windows both offer free video editing software to users with their products or as stand-alone downloads from their websites. Additionally, there are many open-source software options that are free and that can be as powerful as commercial software.

Import all of your assets into your software, and edit together the best video you can. You may be at a slight disadvantage using only what you can find for free, but this challenge can also trigger your creativity to new levels. Start by placing the audio track, and then place your visual elements in time with the rhythm of the music. Your edits (changes between one visual element and another) should happen on a beat, rather than between beats.

Open a free account at one of the sites supported by Friendster for external video, such as YouTube or Atom. Whichever one you choose, read the recommendations for uploading videos, paying attention to file format and size restrictions.
-
5
Render your finished music video to one of the file formats supported by both your software and the video hosting service you've chosen, and upload the finished render directly onto the video hosting service.

Tips & Warnings
Find your video on the hosting service you've chosen (usually from your profile page), and copy the embed code by highlighting it and selecting "Copy." Paste this code into the "Media Box" on your Friendster page.
Do not use any copyrighted material in your project! It's tempting to use your favorite commercial rock song or clips from your favorite movie, but these will quickly get your video removed and possibly get you banned from these sites. You may also have to pay fines to the legal copyright holders.
