Private investigators often work long hours, but have an interesting job.

A private investigator is a professional position that requires keen observation skills and common sense. These professionals are hired by attorneys or by individuals to gather information and conduct surveillance. They are licensed by the states and have to follow the rules of the jurisdiction they work in. Private investigators are hired to catch someone cheating on a spouse, faking an injury or other situations where the attorney needs proof the person is engaging in a certain activity. Some take part in serving subpoenas and other court documents or finding people who skip out on court hearings and court dates.
