Instructions

    • 1

Stir 1 tsp. of water at a time with 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar in a bowl. Continue to add the water and stir until a smooth texture forms. If icing appears thin, simply add 1 tbsp. of powdered sugar at a time to thicken the icing.

    • 2

Lay out the candies on the table to plan out your Christmas topiary design. Use candies such as peppermints, jelly beans, gum drops and coated chocolates.

    • 3

Use a spatula to cover the Styrofoam cone with the powdered sugar icing. Spread a thin layer of icing onto the cone, and then spread icing onto the back of each candy.

    • 4

Press the candies onto the cone. Start from the top and work your way toward the bottom for best results.

    • 5

Use a hot glue gun to attach the bottom of the Styrofoam cone to the terra cotta pot. Glue the cone to the top of the pot. It will be slightly larger than the terra cotta pot.

    • 6

Tie ribbon around the terra cotta pot. Leave enough excess ribbon to make a bow.
