Quickly match colors using RGB values in Adobe Photoshop.

Developed by Adobe Systems, Photoshop is one of the world's most widely used graphics editing applications. It allows users to create and edit bitmap images in a wide range of formats, including JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, and the program's native Photoshop Document (PSD) format. Thanks to the program's Replace Color tool, matching any image color to a specific RGB value in Photoshop is a quick task.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the image file you want to edit in Adobe Photoshop.

    • 2

Click "Image" in the top menu bar and select "Adjustments." Choose "Replace Color" from the resulting sub-menu.

    • 3

Click the box labeled "Color," located beneath the "Selection" heading.

    • 4

Place the cursor over your image file and single-click on the color you want to match. You can also specify a color from the palette that appears on-screen. In either case, click "OK" to confirm your choice.

    • 5

Click the box labeled "Result," located beneath the "Replacement" heading.

    • 6

Specify your preferred color by entering RGB values in the "R," "G" and "B" fields, respectively.

    • 7

      Click "OK."

    • 8

Click "OK" again. All instances of the color selected in Step 4 are immediately matched with the RGB value specified in Step 6.
