How to Upload Graphics to Bluehost Subdomains
Most web browsers are only capable of two concurrent downloads per domain name. Websites that have a lot of images can experience slow web page load times as only two images will be downloaded at once. Uploading graphics to subdomains to parallelize downloads remains one of the best ways to decrease the load time of individual web pages. Following is how to accomplish this on a website hosted on a Bluehost plan.

1
Create a subdomain in the Bluehost control panel. Click the "Subdomain" icon under the "Domains" tab. Type the name of your desired subdomain (images.yourwebsite.com, for example) and choose the root folder where you wish the files to be stored (ipublic_html/images). Click the "Create" button.

2
Upload your images to the desired directory. Select the "File Manager" icon under the "Files" tab. Navigate to the root folder you selected in Step 1 (home/public_html/images/). Click the "Upload" icon at the top of the browser window. Hit the "Browser" button, select the desired image you wish to upload and click "Open." The image you selected will begin uploading to the directory you selected immediately.

Check to make sure that your images are accessible by the new subdomain name. Type the subdomain followed by the image name in the address bar of your web browser (i.e., www.images.yourdomain.com/test_image.jpg).
If the image does not display in your web browser, repeat the above steps ensuring that you uploaded the images into the correct folder you selected for your subdomain. If the images do display, you have successfully uploaded graphics to a subdomain on your Bluehost domain.

Tips & Warnings
If you plan on using multiple subdomain names, choose a naming convention that will make it easy for you to track (i.e., images1.yourdomain.com, images2.yourdomain.com).
On Bluehost accounts, you cannot create a subdomain for a different domain than what is hosted on the account.
