Wiring your home subwoofer isn't a complicated task.

Adding a subwoofer to your home stereo system is a way to improve the bass in your audio system. While simple, it's important that the subwoofer be connected to the amplifier properly. With care, your subwoofer will be wired in only a few minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

      Insert one end of a subwoofer cable into the "Line In" RCA jack on your subwoofer and push it in firmly.

    • 2

      Connect the other end of the subwoofer cable to your receiver's "Sub out" or "LFE out" jack in the same manner as in Step 1.

    • 3

      Plug the subwoofer into an electrical outlet or power strip. Turn the subwoofer on or set it to the "auto-on" setting.
