How to Change an MPEG File Extension to DVD
The MPEG movie format, stored with the MPEG extension and developed by the Moving Picture Experts Group, continues to be used as a standard video file format for online file sharing. MPEG files typically employ high compression using the MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 codecs. In order to place your MPEGs onto DVDs, many programs require you to convert them to the VOB extensions, which is short for the DVD Video Object file format. VOBs files are normally stored in the VIDEO_TS folder of a DVD. A number of online conversion tools can turn your MPEGs into the VOB format.
