How to Block Text Messages & Phone Calls on Sprint
Spam or unwanted calls and text messages can become a hindrance. It can get so bad that you might turn off your phone, and miss important calls, just to avoid the annoyance. If Sprint is your cellphone provider, there is a easy way to block certain numbers from sending you phone calls and text messages. Once you have blocked the number, you don't have to worry about receiving unwanted calls and texts.

Start a new text message in your phone.

Use "9999" as the recipient of the text message.

Type "BLOCK" followed by the phone number you want to block, without the dashes in the message body. The message should look like this: BLOCK 1234567890.

Send the message and wait for confirmation. You will receive an incoming text that says, "Text message from [the number you chose] are now blocked."

Go to the "Security" settings on your phone. This is different for each type of phone, but you can usually get to it by going through your phone's menu. There should be a menu item that says "Security Settings," or "Settings" and then "Security."

Enter in your unlock code to access the security settings in your phone. If you have never set up this feature, use "0000" for the first time and change it soon after.

Go to the section for restricting incoming calls. There are options to restrict all calls, no calls, calls from anyone not in your contacts list, calls from a specific person in your contacts list or calls from a specific number. The exact options depend on the type of phone.

Tips & Warnings
You can also log into your online Sprint account to enter numbers you want to block text messages from. Use your username and password to log into the account. Click on "My Online Tools > Text messaging > Settings > Preferences." Enter all of the phone numbers that you want to block.
If there is a specific number that is harassing you, report it to Sprint. They will block the phone number on their side and report it.
