Replace your high school diploma.

A high school diploma is symbolic of your completion of high school coursework and requirements. Not having a diploma will not preclude you from getting a job or being accepted to college, but it is a visual reminder of your accomplishment and therefore important to many of us. If you have lost your original diploma, you can order a replacement.

Instructions

    • 1

Contact the alumni or records department of the school district where you graduated.

    • 2

Request or download an application to receive a copy of your diploma. Educational records are protected by privacy laws, so before your high school diploma can be reissued you may be required to provide proof of your identity, such as sending or faxing a copy of a government-issued identification card.

    • 3

Pay all applicable fees. Fees vary per district, but it is likely that you will be charged something to obtain an additional diploma. Once the application and payment are received, the school district will send your diploma. It may take up to eight weeks to receive your diploma.
