How Do I Change the ISO on My Sony Alpha 100 Camera? thumbnail
Your Sony camera can replicate different ISO film speeds.

Film for cameras came in different speeds designated by the International Standards Organization. These speeds, known as ISO speeds, ranged from ISO 100 to ISO 1200, and photographers used different speeds in different situations. Even though the Sony Alpha 100 (A100) is a digital camera, you can still use ISO settings to change the way you take pictures.

Instructions

    • 1

Change the rotary dial on your camera so it is set to "Fn" mode.

    • 2

Use the directional pad on the back of the camera to scroll through the menus listed on the LCD screen. Click on the ISO screen setting.

    • 3

Use the directional pad to change the ISO to the speed of your choice.

    • 4

Press the center of the pad to save your setting.

Tips & Warnings

  • Experiment with different speeds to find an ideal shot. 100-200 speeds tend to be good for regular shots, while higher speeds are meant for night or action shots.
