How to Open BIN Files in Vista
BIN files are a type of disc image used to store entire binary copies of a disc. While one might assume that a BIN file could just be opened or burned to a CD by itself, this is not the case. In order to use a BIN file, there must be a matching CUE file to go along with it. If you created a BIN format backup of a disc, and the CUE file that came with it was misplaced or deleted, creating a new CUE file to go along with the BIN file is not difficult. Once a CUE file is created, opening your BIN file is a simple task if you have the right program.
Instructions

1
Place the BIN file in its own, separate folder. To do this, right-click somewhere in the current folder and select "New" and then "Folder." Then click and drag the file inside of that new folder.
-
2
Create a new text file. Right-click somewhere in the folder and select "New" and then "Text Document." Open the document.
-
-
3
Type the following text into the document:
FILE "Abc.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00Replace "Abc.bin" with your specific BIN file name (inside quotes, including the ".bin" file extension).
-
4
Save the file. Click "File," "Save As" and then select "All Files" from the "Save as type" dropdown menu. In the "File name" box, type the exact name of the BIN file (e.g., "Abc") and append it with a ".cue" extension. Your file name will look like this: "Abc.cue" (use your specific file name in place of "Abc"). You have now successfully made your BIN file usable.
-
5
Open your disc mounting program, such as UltraISO or Daemon Tools (see Resources), and mount the CUE file. The information in the BIN file will now be used through the CUE file. You have successfully opened your BIN file in your Windows Vista computer.
