Choose your key statistics. Hybrids focused on fighting should work toward maximizing their Strength and Dexterity. Intelligence and Charisma are important for those which rely on pets or magic for damage. All characters benefit from high Endurance and Luck.

Visit the stat trainers to quickly level your key statistics. These trainers will grant you stat increases and are your first step once you have decided on the focus for your hybrid.

Purchase or find elemental gear. All hybrids are weaker than their focused counterparts and the added strength of elemental weapons and armor spells will level the playing field.

Choose the armor rewards that fit your basic defensive style. Endurance-heavy characters will want heavy armor to further protect their life, whereas those who rely on armor spells instead of heavy armor should choose magic robes whenever they gain armor rewards.

Get pets which offer bonuses to your key attributes. The Reign Phoenix's special abilities work well for a fire-based adventurer, whereas the Hanuboy series of pets offers excellent all-around fighters and works well as a primary defense or pet attacker.
