Instructions

    • 1

Park the lawn tractor on a flat, level surface and set the parking brake. Disconnect the sparkplug wire from the sparkplug to prevent accidental starting (just pull it free by hand, it is a snap-on connection). Slide the mower deck underneath the right side of the unit, and center it approximately where it should sit.

    • 2

Place the free end of the mower deck belt (included with mower assembly) around the stack pulley, which is hanging beneath the engine. Be sure the belt is not twisted, and that it sits securely in the lower groove on the pulley.

    • 3

Attach both front hanger rods from the mower deck to the front axle supports (located beneath the front wheels). The hanger rods just hang in place, with the enlarged head fitting into a widened slot, so be sure they are both firmly in place. Make sure the mower deck belt is still between the stack pulley and the two belt guides on the mower deck.

    • 4

Attach the two suspension links on the mower deck sides to the lifter assemblies hanging beneath the tractor (one each on the left and right side of tractor). These links attach with the deck assembly's washers and cotter pins.

    • 5

Attach the left and the right height adjuster arms to the suspension brackets hanging beneath the tractor (one each on the left and right side of tractor). The height adjuster arms hang in place, with an enlarged head fitting into a widened slot, so be sure they are firmly in place. Fasten the height adjuster arms with washers and cotter pins securing the enlarged head.

    • 6

Attach the variable extension spring to the blade control rod, using pliers. Engage the blade rotation control (move the lever to the engage position) and check that the PTO and deck belts are inside their respective belt guides.

Tips & Warnings

  • After installing the mower deck, it is a good idea to make sure it is level before mowing.
