How to Make Your Own Baby's Breath Favors for a Baby Shower

While these bouquets won't have many real flowers, they will be edible.

A simple way to thank your baby shower guests for coming is to give them homemade baby shower favors. While your options for making favors are boundless, an easy way is to take advantage of specialty lollipops that have chocolate figures at the top and come in a variety of shapes and colors. By using ones with flower shapes at the top, you'll create special sugary bouquets that will look more like the real thing when you add stems of baby's breath to them. Baby's breath is a light, airy flower that perfectly suits the pink, blue or yellow color scheme of most baby showers.

Things You'll Need

• 6 chocolate flower-shaped lollipops per bouquet
• Tissue paper, 8-inch squares
• 2 to 3 stems of baby's breath per bouquet
• 2 to 3 stems of silk leaves per bouquet
• Ribbon
• Scissors

Instructions

1. Gather the six lollipops in flowered shapes made up of different colors of chocolate. In gathering them together, they should resemble a small bouquet.

2. Cut three stems of baby's breath and two stems of silk leaves so that they are 6 to 8 inches high. Add them to the candy bouquet.

3. Lay two pieces of green tissue paper on top of each other. Place your bouquet of candy, baby's breath and silk flowers in the exact center. Pull each side of the tissue paper around the bouquet, wrapping and twisting it slightly around the sticks of the chocolate lollipops.

4. Cut a piece of ribbon so that it is 8 inches long. Wrap a large piece of brightly colored ribbon around the base of the bouquet to hold it all together.

5. Place each bouquet on the plate of each guest, or give it to guests as they are leaving.
