How to Connect a Dish DVR Satellite System to a TV
A Dish DVR (digital video recorder) satellite system uses a receiver to process and unscramble the satellite signal for transmission to a TV. The receiver also contains the hard drive for digital recordings of satellite programming. Connecting the receiver to a TV takes only a few minutes with a component-type AV cable equipped with five color-coded plugs on each end. The plugs match the colors on the jacks located on the back panel of the DVR receiver and the television.
