How to Enable Javascript on the Internet

Enable JavaScript in your web browser to support dynamic websites.

JavaScript is a object-oriented scripting language used in applications and implanted as part of a web browser to support dynamic and interactive websites. In order to view websites created in JavaScript, users must enable JavaScript in the desired web browser. Enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox with just a few clicks from the options menu of the browser.

Instructions

Internet Explorer

1. Launch Internet Explorer. Click "Start" from the system tray located at the bottom of the desktop. Click "All Programs" and click on "Internet Explorer" from the application list.

2. Click the "Tools" button located in the upper right corner of the browser screen and click "Internet Options" from the drop-down.

3. Click the "Security" tab from the Internet Options window.

4. Click the "Custom level" button located under "Security level for this zone."

5. Scroll down to the "Scripting" option located at the bottom of the list. Select the radio button for "Active Scripting" to "Enable."

6. Click the "OK" button. Click "Yes" when prompted "Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?" and click "OK" to close the Internet Options window.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Launch Mozilla Firefox. Click "Start" from the system tray located at the bottom of the desktop. Click "All Programs" and click on "Mozilla Firefox" from the application list.

2. Click "Tools" from the top menu and click "Options" from the drop-down.

3. Click the "Content" tab from the Options window.

4. Check the box next to "Enable JavaScript."

5. Click the "OK" button to close the Options window.
