How to Hook up a Viore TV to a PC

How to Hook up a Viore TV to a PC thumbnail
Use a standard VGA cable to connect a Viore TV to a PC.

Viore flat-screen televisions are equipped with multiple connection jacks for hooking up different types of audio-video components. The Video Graphics Array (VGA) port on a Viore is specifically designed for hooking up the set to a personal computer or laptop. Since virtually all PCs and laptops are equipped with a four-sided VGA jack for connecting an external monitor, a standard VGA cable is the only part needed to hook up a Viore TV to the computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Unplug your Viore from the power.

    • 2

      Shut down your computer.

    • 3

Attach one end of the VGA cable to the port on the back panel of the Viore TV, taking care to align the metal pins with the three rows of holes in the port.

    • 4

Push the plug on the other end of the VGA cable onto the VGA port on the back of the computer tower or along the edge of the laptop. If the computer already has an external monitor connected to it, disconnect the existing VGA cable from the back of the computer and replace it with the cable from the Viore TV.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the computer's speakers for audio. The VGA cable transmits video and picture only.

  • Unplug the Viore set from the electricity when connecting or disconnecting other components.
