How to Find the Sky Pillar on Pokemon Emerald Version

Unlike in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, the Sky Pillar in Emerald is an integral part of the storyline, and is a locale you need to visit in order to complete the game's main quest. While the game doesn't exactly specify where to find the Sky Pillar, it's easily accessed by surfing to Route 131. Finding the Sky Pillar gives you a chance to battle and capture Rayquaza, a legendary dragon Pokemon.

Instructions

1. Fly to Mossdeep and surf south on Route 127 down to Route 129.

2. Continue surfing west on Route 130 to Route 131. Stay along the north side of Route 131.

3. Look for an opening in the northern section of Route 131. There is a path you can follow between the rocks that leads you further north.

4. Enter the cave. When you emerge on the other side, you've found the Sky Pillar.

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure to bring plenty of Ultra Balls if you plan on adding Rayquaza to your arsenal.

• In Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, the Sky Pillar is inaccessible until you defeat the Elite Four.
