How to Download Skype for PSP Slim
Skype is a free Internet service that allows users to communicate with other Skype users free of charge over the web. The Sony PlayStation Portable Slim models 2000 or greater support Skype, with the software needed to run the program built right into the latest PSP firmware update. Updating your console to download and enable Skype on your Sony PSP Slim is easy and only takes a few minutes.

Tips & Warnings
To use Skype, you need a PSP headset or microphone (sold separately) because the PSP itself lacks a built-in microphone.
You can create a new account or log into your old Skype account through your PSP.
PSP firmware updates also can be downloaded to your computer and put on your PSP using the console's "USB Mode." Connect the console to your computer using a USB cable, download the update and put it on the console's memory stick in the "PSP" folder. The sub-folder containing the update must be named "UPDATE" (all caps).
Don't power off your PSP, disconnect the power adapter or remove the memory stick during the update download or during the update itself.
