How to Email on iPad

Apple's iPad is a mobile hardware platform capable of surfing the Internet, reading digital books, watching movies, playing video games and viewing digital photos. The iPad features a large library of downloadable applications and is integrated with Apple iTunes accounts. Emailing on the iPad is straightforward and simple, requiring minimal upfront setup.

Instructions

1. Tap "Settings" from the iPad homepage to set up a new email account.

2. Select "Mail," then "Add Accounts." Select the Email account provider from a list including Microsoft Exchange, MobileMe, GMail, AOL ad Yahoo. Follow the prompts to complete the iPad email account information and tap "Save."

3. Select the Email icon located at the top of the iPad by tapping the icon once. The Email icon is easily recognizable, because it resembles a pen and pad of paper.

4. Enter the name or the Email address of the recipient into the "To" data field or select the "+" icon to add a person from your contact list.

5. Enter the subject, content of the Email and any additional recipients. Tap "Send" when you finish.

Tips & Warnings

• Users who already have Apple iTunes can log into their account on a computer, select "iPad Preferences" and "Sync" an already existing Email account by following the prompts.
