1
Get an album or a three ring binder for your family memories book. The benefit to using a three ring binder is that you can add as many pages as you want. Look through your family photos and begin grouping them according to special events you want to memorialize in your book of memories. ScrapbookScrapbook suggests cropping extra background from photos with scissors to allow more photos per page and to improve the photos' compositions.

2
Create written journal-style entries to describe the memories in your book. WholeFamily suggests asking questions of family members and writing down their responses to add important memories and impressions from each family member.
Write entries on separate pieces of paper that can be glued with a collage of photos in a pleasing arrangement. Create titles for pages on separate sheets of paper, as well, for better options when arranging the pages of your book. -

3
Find other memorabilia for your book of memories. Some ideas for additions include ticket stubs, unusual bottle caps, or artwork from your children. Glue these items to your pages to add to the composition. Decorate your pages with glitter, stickers, and shapes cut from different colored paper.

Have your family members help you find memorable photos, objects, and thoughts to add to the book of memories. Getting everyone involved to make your book of memories will make the book especially meaningful to the entire family.
