How to Copy a DVD to an SD Card for a Mix Max Player
Disney Mix Max players are dynamic media devices with an expandable card slot for SD (SanDisk) memory cards. This makes it possible to view movies transferred from a computer in addition to the ones that may have come pre-loaded. Converting a DVD for placement on a Mix Max's SD card is a somewhat challenging process, but can increase your Mix Max's video collection with little to no additional cost.

1
Place your SD card into your USB card reader/writer and place the USB card reader/writer into an available USB port on your computer. Your computer will recognize the SD card as "Removable Media." If a pop-up appears asking you what you would like to do with the media (i.e., open it to view contents, etc.), click "Cancel" to do nothing at the moment.
-
2
Load your preferred DVD conversion software. If you don't already have a program, look for one online (see Resources section). Download and install the program. Open the software.
-
-
3
Insert the DVD that you would like to rip into your computer.
-
4
Click "Add" or "Load DVD" to prepare your DVD for conversion.
-
5
Click on "DVD to Video Format" or "Output Format." Select "WMV" as your output file type and specify "220 width x 176 height" if your program allows specific video dimension outputs. Change the output frame-rate to 30 frames per second, if possible.
-
6
Select the destination folder for your converted WMV file. Choose the "Removable Media" folder that represents the SD card. When you are done adjusting the setting, click "Convert."
