How to Make Your Own Icon Collage From Your Pictures

An icon collage is a collage of pictures generated online that you can post on social networking websites or a personal blog. The collage takes a collection of your personal pictures, or pictures found online, and places them into a grid so that all the pictures are the same size. Create your own icon collage to show those who visit your page a little bit about yourself.

Instructions

1. Select a collage-making website (see Resources).

2. Select the grid size that you would like for your icon collage. The number of pictures that appear in the collage depends on the size of the grid. The total number of pictures in the collage with be the width of the grid times the height of the grid. So, if you choose a grid that is 3 by 2, then you will have six total pictures in your collage.

3. The grid will fill in from left to right starting with the top row if you select "As Is" for the order of the icons. Select "Random" if the order of the icons doesn't matter.

4. Select a category from the pull-down menu next to each icon to choose what category you would like to browse to find an icon. Select "My Own" if you would like to upload your own image from your computer to use as an icon. Select how you would like the image to be cropped if you are using your own image. Do this until each icon for the collage is selected.

5. Type your email address into the designated box after selecting all your icons. Click "E-mail Collage" to receive your collage.

6. Open the email containing your collage and click one of the links to save your collage to your computer. You can then upload the collage, as you would a picture, to use it on a personal page.
