It's similar to a vehicle-identification number for a vehicle. The serial number is located on the back panel, in the column labeled "S/N." The length may vary, but it's longer than the model number.

Visit Samsung's website for product registration (see Resources section). Type your email address, create a password, and type your full name and ZIP code.

Select "TV and Video" under "Product Group." Select "Televisions" from "Category." Select "LCD TV" under "Sub-Category." Select your model name from the list.

Type your serial number. Match it up with the number on the back on the television for verification. Select your purchase date, the location of the store and the date of purchase. Select "Internet" if you purchased it online.

Type your full address and click "Submit" to complete your product registration.

Tips & Warnings
If you still have the product-registration mailer, write your serial number (the model number is pre-filled), name, address and telephone number on the mailer. Drop the mailer in your mailbox to register your television. It may take several weeks to receive a response from Samsung. Online registration is instant.
