How to Refill a Sink Drinking Fountain for Dogs

Taking your dog to the dog park allows your pet to run free, enjoy being outdoors, and socialize with other dogs. However, after running around, dogs need water, and the drinking fountains that have dog sinks don't always work. For instance, there may be a clog in the fountain's spigot. Refilling the drinking fountain's dog sink then becomes necessary.

Things You'll Need

• Drinking fountain with top and bottom sinks
• Paper towel, hand towel or plastic bag
• Water bottle
• Piece of cardboard

Instructions

1. Take some water from the top fountain, the one for people, and pour it into the dog sink to see if the dog sink's drain is clogged or working well. If drain is working well, and it has a drain stopper, use the drain stopper to stop drainage. If it doesn't have a drain stopper, find a paper towel, hand towel or a plastic bag to put over the drain and stop the drainage.

2. Take a clean, empty water bottle and fill it up with water from the top sink drinking fountain. If there is no water bottle available, find a piece of cardboard to help funnel the water toward the dog's sink.

3. Pour water into the stopped-up dog sink drinking fountain until it has been refilled.
