How to Draw a Picture of a Jetstar Plane
Jetstar is an Australian-based airline that provides low-fare flights domestically and internationally. Jetstar jetliners are characterized by the word "Jet" written on the tail in black letters, followed by a symbol of an orange five-pointed star. When drawing a plane, an artist must use a well sharpened pencil (or mechanical pencil) and a ruler for creating accurate straight edges. For best results, work from an image of a Jetstar plane.

1
Outline the body of the plane with a light line that can easily be erased if necessary. The body of the plane will be a long tube (approximately 9 inches long and 1 inch wide) with a rounded, slightly pointed nose at one end, and a tapered tip at the other end. Approximately 1 inch before the tapered tip, extending from the top of the tube, draw a caret symbol 1.5 inches long, angling back toward the end of the tube. This is the rudder of the plane. In the center of the body of the plane draw a caret 1.5 inches long, angling back in the same way as the rudder. This is the wing of the plane. The top of it will rise slightly above the body of the plane.
-
2
Draw a horizontal cylinder, slightly more than an inch long, just below the wing. The cylinder should taper slightly at the back end. This is the jet engine.
-
-
3
Write the word "Jet" on the rudder in large capital letters. Thicken the lines as necessary, to make the typeface bold and visible. The letters should take up all the space on the rudder.
-
4
Draw a five-pointed star on the body of the plane just after the word "Jet."
-
5
Draw a caret symbol approximately a half-inch long, angling back like the rudder, in the space just below the rudder on the body of the plane. This is the horizontal stabilizer--it should be just behind the orange star.
-
6
Draw a line of ovals centered across the body of the plane for the windows. The front window, for the pilot, will be larger than the windows for the passengers.
-
7
Darken the outline of the plane, once you're happy with the results.
