How to Print Web Pages in Black & White

How to Print Web Pages in Black & White thumbnail
Printer ink can be expensive.

Printing web pages in black and white rather than color allows you to save on color ink. You can change this setting in your printer's preferences just before printing. Not all websites print exactly the same as they appear on screen. This is due to the website's design. Some websites engage special pages when you click "Print;" others will print all the background images and text, which uses a lot of black ink.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the webpage you would like to print.

    • 2

      Click "File," then "Print."

    • 3

Click the "Properties" button at the top of the dialog box that appears. This opens the printer's control panel.

    • 4

Find a check box that says "Black & White Printing" or "Grayscale." Click on it and click "OK."

    • 5

      Click "Print."
