You can create your own puzzle worksheets at a variety of websites. You can make customized word puzzles, using your own word banks and clues, as well as math puzzles, mazes and more. These customized puzzle worksheets offer an alternative activity for classroom lessons, or can be used as gifts for friends. You can print the worksheets at home and make as many copies as you need.

Instructions

      Visit the "Puzzlemaker" section of the Discovery Education website.

      Select a puzzle format to create. You can choose from a variety of formats, including word search, crisscross puzzle, cryptogram, hidden message, number blocks and math squares.

      Enter the required information in the puzzle-maker form. For example, if you are creating a word search puzzle, you will need to enter the title of the puzzle, the size of the puzzle and the word list to be included in the puzzle.

      Click "Create My Puzzle" and allow several minutes for the site to process your request.

      Print the puzzle on blank or colored paper.
