Instructions

    • 1

Remove the ink cartridge from the printer. Turn the cartridge over to reveal the copper contacts. Pull off two small pieces of tape and stick them to the edge of the table so that you are ready.

    • 2

Look at the cartridge with the copper contacts at the bottom of the cartridge when you are looking at it. On the left side of the cartridge, you will see the first row of contacts that has five copper dots. The second row has seven copper dots. Place a piece of tape over the seventh copper dot at the top.

    • 3

Place the ink cartridge in the printer carriage. Allow the printer to make an alignment page. Remove the ink cartridge from the printer when complete. Turn the cartridge over.

    • 4

Look at the right side of the cartridge. The last row of copper contacts has five copper dots. The one next to that on the left has six copper dots. Place the second piece of tape over the sixth copper contact, which is at the top.

    • 5

Place the ink cartridge in the printer and let the printer print another test page while aligning the printer cartridge. After the test is complete, remove the cartridge from the printer.

    • 6

Remove the tape and make sure that there is no adhesive left on the copper contacts. If there is, use a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a lint free rag to remove the sticky residue.

    • 7

Return the ink cartridge to the printer and the ink control level monitor will read full.
