How to Do the Cowboy Charleston Line Dance
The Cowboy Charleston line dance is also known as the Charleston Cha-Cha, the Charleston Cowboy and the Charleston Tap, according to Bootsnspurs.com. While the choreographer of this dance is unknown, music used usually consists of a two-step rhythm or a fairly fast western swing song. The movement comprises dances performed during the 1920s such as the Roaring Twenties Flapper Dance and the Charleston. The dance follows a 16-count sequence while in a straight line and turning to the four walls of a room. Typical songs to perform these dances to include "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra and "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" by Eddy Raven & Jo-El Sonnier.
