How to Make Homemade Spa Face Masks
Spas often make the face masks they use on their customers in-house using readily available natural ingredients---which means that it is easy to get the spa treatment, without the spa treatment price tag. Some of the best skin care products are probably sitting in your refrigerator or fruit bowl right now, so utilize the nourishing properties of these natural products by making homemade spa face masks. Things You'll Need
- French green clay
- Organic yogurt
- Lemon juice
- Tomato
- Oatmeal
- Baking soda
- Cucumber
- Grater
- Knife
- Honey
- Water
- Green tea
- Bowls
- Cup
- Food processor
Instructions

Refresher Mask

Grate 1 tomato and half a cucumber on a fine grater.

Mix in 1 tsp. of lemon juice. Leave in the refrigerator for one hour, or until very cool.

Apply to the face and relax for 20 minutes, with 2 slices of the leftover cucumber on the eyes. Rinse with cool water.
Soothing Mask

Soak 1 tbsp. of oatmeal for two hours, or overnight if possible in a cup of fresh-brewed green tea.

Blend the soaked oatmeal in the food processor until smooth, add 2 tbsp. of yogurt, and 1 tsp. of honey.

Apply to the face and neck for 20 minutes, rinse with warm water.
Lightening Mask

Soak 1 tbsp. of oatmeal in water overnight.

Grate a tomato, squeezing the pulp to release the juice into the soaked oatmeal.

Add 1 tsp. of lemon juice and blend the whole mixture in the food processor until smooth.

Apply to face and neck for 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
Cleansing Mask

Mix 2 tbsp. of French green clay with 1 tsp. of baking soda and 3 tbsp. of freshly brewed green tea.

Set the mixture in the refrigerator until cool.

Apply to face and neck and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Tips & Warnings
Any number of fruits and vegetables can be utilized for their nourishing, cleansing and soothing properties for the skin.
Essential oils like jojoba, mint and lavender are good additions to any of these facial masks. Vitamin E oil and almond oil also impart essential vitamins to the skin. Avocado mashed and applied to the face is a good way of providing essential fatty acids for the skin.
