How to High Polish Aluminum Rims
Polishing your aluminum rims are a great way to restore its luster. This process is very cheap and easy. Set aside at least one hour to polish all four of your rims since this process can be very time consuming. Rims must be thoroughly cleaned before polishing otherwise you can ruin the finish. Before polishing your rims make sure that they are indeed aluminum rims and that they have a finish which can be polished. This information can be found on any manuals that come with the rims or by calling the manufacturer.

Fill a bucket up with water and car wash soap and soak a few towels in this solution. Spray some water on the wheels to remove large bits of dirt and sediment. Thoroughly wipe the surface of the wheels with a soft towel. Make sure to get every bit of dirt and grime, otherwise the wheel surface can be damaged when it is polished. Allow the wheels to dry.

Rub some aluminum wheel polish onto a soft towel. Rub the towel onto the surface of the dry aluminum rim in a circular motion. Frequently reapply polish and polish the entire surface of the wheel. Apply polish to only one wheel at a time. Make sure that the car is out of direct sunlight otherwise the polish will be hard to remove.

Wipe the rim with a soft towel once you are finished polishing it. Turn the towel frequently so that you are using a clean portion of the towel since it will get built up with polish. This step will remove excess polish from the rims and restore luster to the rims.

Repeat steps two and three for each of the other rims.
