How to Reset an Overhead Console in a Chrysler Town & Country

by Leonardo R. Grabkowski

The Chrysler Town and Country minivan is equipped with an overhead console. This console contains a vehicle-information center, which displays important information such as temperature and miles per gallon. Some of the settings can be reset. The resettable settings are average fuel economy, distance until empty, trip odometer and elapsed time. You can either reset an individual setting or reset all the settings at once. The overhead-console reset is applicable to all Town and Country models produced from 2001 to 2007. The information center on 2008 and newer models is located within the odometer cluster.

Step 1

Turn the engine on. Press the "Step" button on the right side of the console until one of the resettable settings appears on the overhead console.

Step 2

Press the "Reset" button on the left side of the console to reset the displayed setting. For example, if you wanted to reset the average fuel economy, press "Reset" with the average fuel economy displayed.

Step 3

Press "Reset" twice within four seconds to reset all the settings on the overhead console.
