Beautiful wedding bouquets can be constructed at home for a fraction of the price.

Aside from the food and the dress, the most expensive and crucial part of any wedding ceremony is the flowers. Bouquets frame the bridesmaids and the bride and make their entrances that much more grand. Instead of spending a fortune on hiring a professional to assemble your wedding party's bouquets, use silk flowers and a little elbow grease to construct your own long rose silk bridal bouquets. These bouquets will not only save you money, they will also be one-of-a-kind.

Instructions

    • 1

Grab four long-stemmed silk roses in one hand and use your free hand to hold the flowers tightly in place. Arrange these four stems into the shape of a square by placing one on top, one on the bottom and one on each side. The blooms of the flowers should also be at an even height.

    • 2

Create a dome shape by encircling these four flowers with several more, until you have the desired size bouquet.

    • 3

Wrap a rubber band around the flowers to keep them in place approximately 3 inches below the blooms. Wrap another rubber band 2 inches below the first rubber band.

    • 4

Cut the flower stems until they are all 7 inches long. Cut a piece of wide ribbon 21 inches long. The ribbon should be one of the wedding colors.

    • 5

Shove the end of the ribbon into the top rubber band and wrap the rest of the length of the stems until there is approximately a half-inch of stem left.

    • 6

Secure the ribbon to the stems by placing three to five decorative pins through the ribbon and stems, making sure that one of the pins is at the very bottom of the ribbon to keep the end from dangling.
