How to Rip DVD Disks
There are two main folders on your DVD that contain all of the information required to read and rip its contents: the Audio TS and Video TS folders. In order to rip your DVDs to different file formats, you will need to download a program from the Internet--since your computer does not come with adequate software. Among your options include AVS Video Converter, HandBrake, and Xilisoft--all of which can rip your DVDs to over a dozen different formats, depending on your needs. Please note that compressing DVD video may result in some loss of audio/visual quality.
